Our current service offerings are:

A thorough review of a client's pension documentation and entitlements, delivered with a written summary and a follow-up conversation.
Dispute & Appeals Representation — ฿9,800
Legal support for clients whose pension claims have been reduced, delayed, or refused, including preparation of correspondence, submissions, and representation through formal appeals.

05 Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, layout, graphics, and documents — is the intellectual property of Ratana Counsel and is protected under Thai copyright law and applicable international conventions.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view this website for your personal, non-commercial use only. This licence does not extend to reproducing, distributing, or creating derivative works without our prior written consent.
Documents and written advice prepared specifically for a client in the course of an engagement remain the professional work product of Ratana Counsel. Clients may retain and use such documents for the personal purpose for which they were prepared, but may not reproduce or redistribute them without written permission.
06 Payment Terms
All fees are quoted and payable in Thai Baht (฿). Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of engagement. The following general terms apply:
- Service fees are as set out in these terms and on our Solutions page. Fees may be revised from time to time; any revision will be communicated before a new engagement commences.
- Payment terms for each engagement will be detailed in the client engagement letter or written confirmation.
- Where a matter does not proceed through no fault of Ratana Counsel, reasonable fees may be charged for work completed to date.
Refunds: Given the advisory nature of our services, fees paid for work already undertaken are not ordinarily refundable. We assess matters of dissatisfaction fairly and on their individual circumstances. If you have a concern about a fee, please contact us directly at [email protected].
07 Service-Specific Terms
The following terms apply specifically to our legal advisory and representation services:
- Scope: The scope of each engagement is defined at the time of instruction and set out in a written engagement letter. Work outside the agreed scope requires a separate instruction.
- Timelines: We provide realistic timelines based on the nature of the matter and the processes involved. Timelines may be affected by factors outside our control, such as third-party response times or procedural requirements.
- Updates: Clients will receive regular updates on the progress of their matter. We communicate clearly and in plain language at every stage.
- Changes to instruction: Clients may adjust the scope of their instruction by written notice. Changes may affect fees and timelines, which will be discussed openly before any changes take effect.
08 Disclaimers
The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. Ratana Counsel does not accept liability for decisions made on the basis of general website content alone.
We provide legal advice within the scope of each engagement and cannot make assurances regarding outcomes, as these are determined by independent third parties including pension funds, tribunals, and courts. Our role is to provide considered, informed guidance and representation; the outcome of any matter rests with those decision-making bodies.
While we take reasonable steps to keep website content accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the website will be continuously available or free from technical errors.
09 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, Ratana Counsel's liability arising from or in connection with the provision of services shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.
Ratana Counsel shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of opportunity, or damages arising from third-party decisions or delays.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Ratana Counsel harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms & Conditions, your provision of inaccurate or misleading information, or your unauthorised use of this website or its content.
11 Confidentiality
Ratana Counsel treats all client information and matter details as strictly confidential. Information shared in the course of an engagement will not be disclosed to third parties except where required to provide the services (such as correspondence with pension funds or regulatory authorities), where required by law, or where you provide your explicit consent.
Clients are also asked to treat information provided by Ratana Counsel — including strategy, advice, and internal documents — with the same discretion. This obligation continues after the conclusion of an engagement.
12 Termination
Either party may end an engagement by written notice:
- By you: You may withdraw from an engagement at any time. Fees for work completed up to the date of notice remain payable.
- By Ratana Counsel: We may end an engagement where a client has provided materially misleading information, failed to cooperate, or where continuing the engagement would conflict with our professional obligations.
- Effect of termination: Upon termination, we will provide a brief summary of work completed and, subject to outstanding fees being settled, transfer any documents that belong to you.
The confidentiality, intellectual property, payment, and limitation of liability provisions survive the termination of any engagement.
13 Dispute Resolution
We prefer to resolve concerns informally. If you have a concern about our services or these terms, we encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so that we have the opportunity to address the matter directly.
If informal resolution is not achieved, the following applies:
- Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.
- Jurisdiction: Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.
- Mediation: Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through a single mediation session, unless the matter is urgent.
14 General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These terms, together with any engagement letter, constitute the complete agreement between you and Ratana Counsel for the matters covered.
- Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: A failure to enforce any provision at a particular time does not constitute a waiver of that provision going forward.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our obligations to a successor entity without restriction, provided service continuity is maintained.
- Notices: Formal notices may be sent to Ratana Counsel by email to [email protected] or by post to 119 Ratchadamri Road, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330.
15 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or practices. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of this website or engagement of our services after the updated terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For ongoing client engagements, material changes will be communicated directly before taking effect.
